Convenient Drop Off and Pick Up for Custom Bottle Candles

Visit The Constellation Marketplace, where I have a retail residency that you can shop from, and have a dedicated area on my shelves for dropping off your bottles to creat custom candles (or empty candles for refills!). Just check in at the register and fill out a simple contact information slip to leave behind for me.

1. Drop Off

Drop off your empty bottles to The Constellation Marketplace anytime they're open! Fill out a contact slip with the staff and leave your bottles in the baskets. I come in to collect the previous month's worth of drop offs on the first Friday of every month. (Not local to Sacramento? Not a problem! Email me using the form below to discuss mail in options, which I accept frequently!)

2. Select Fragrances / I Cut the Bottle

I will email you to share my currently available fragrances to select from. Meanwhile, I will cut, sand, and clean the bottle to prepare it for the candle making process. Once you provide your fragrance selection, I make the candle!

3. Make Payment

I will send you an electronic invoice to make payment for your custom candles. If you have a customer account on my website already, I make sure to connect your order to your account so you can earn rewards points!

4. Pick Up

I will bring your custom candles into Constellation Marketplace by the first Friday of the second month from when you dropped off. For example: if you drop off on any day in May, they'll get collected the first Friday of June, and be back to the store for you to pick up by the first Friday of July! Once I bring them in, I will email you and you can pick up at your convenience anytime the store is open.

Pricing is $8 per bottle plus $2/oz of candle poured. I pour every candle on a scale to weigh the pour - so you get exactly what you pay for (and sometimes a smidge more).

You will be sent an electronic invoice to make payment, which must be completed before they will be brought back into the store for pick up.

Drop offs at Constellation Marketplace are collected the first Friday of every month. Your custom bottle candles will be back in the shop for pick up by the first Friday of the next month.

For example: if you drop off on any day in May, they'll get collected the first Friday of June, and be back to the store for you to pick up by the first Friday of July!

I can turn almost all bottles into custom candles! Some of my favorite custom bottle candles I have made have been in tequila gin, and wine bottles!

Even though I have 8 years of experience cutting and sanding bottles, factors out of my control (such as inconsistency in thickness of the glass, unnoticeable weak spots in glass, etc.) can sometimes cause bottles to break in the cutting process. On average, 1-2 out of every 100 bottles I cut has an issue and breaks.

If a bottle breaks, the maker is not liable for the cost of the bottle, nor replacing the bottle, or for shipping if the bottle was shipped in. And, the client will not be charged.

Yes - please rinse out whatever wonderful drink was in the bottle with a little water before dropping off.

A PDF of currently available fragrances will be shared to you via email during the process. A perk of custom bottle candles is that you have lots of options!

The punt is an indented bump found on the bottom of most wine bottles and sometimes other liquor bottles too. If your bottle has a punt:

the wick will be glued to the top of it with a temperature resistant glue so the wick won't float or move during burning, and
I pour 'scrap wax' around the punt until there is a new surface level with the wick, and do not charge for this as part of the candle.
